Geneplanet’s Maternity DNA test offers two conclusions: There are two possible outcomes in a DNA maternity test: 1. Maternity Exclusion. A maternity exclusion indicates that the tested woman is not the true biological mother of the child. A report which states a maternity exclusion will show a minimum of two exclusions at two different genetic loci. When a maternity exclusion is indicated, the probability of paternity is 0%. 2. Maternity Inclusion. If the report states that the tested woman is not excluded as the biological mother of the tested child, the report will indicate that the probability of maternity is greater than 99.9%.
